Ethiopian Airlines Increase Frequency of Flights from Domodedovo
Ethiopian Airlines from June 24th will increase the frequency of flights to Domodedovo International Airport from Addis Ababa Airport to six per week.
Flights will be carried out daily, except for Sundays, flight ET-761, departures at 21:30 Moscow time on a Boeing-787 (Dreamliner). There is an increased luggage allowance for passengers - 2 pieces of 23 kg.
A direct flight from Moscow to Addis Ababa takes around 8 hours and is operated outside the airspace of Middle Eastern countries. The transit time at Addis Ababa Airport is approximately 1 to 3.5 hours, and the total travel time from Moscow to key African destinations is 15 to 17 hours. Onboard Wi-Fi is available, and seat selection is at your service during online check-in.
In a world where travel patterns have changed, Ethiopian Airlines offer a wide range of flights to cities in Africa and South America. As a result, Ethiopian Airlines' passenger traffic from Domodedovo increased by 25.1% in 2026.
60% of passengers on flights from Moscow are Russians who use Addis Ababa Airport for transit. Top destinations from Russia are South Africa, Tanzania (Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro), Seychelles, Kenya (Nairobi and Mombasa), Namibia, Madagascar, Brazil, and Argentina.
Among the extensive route network, Russian travelers fly to both popular tourist destinations (Cape Town, Zanzibar, Seychelles) and less obvious routes. Nairobi is the starting point for safaris, and Mombasa (Kenya's second-largest city) is known for its beaches and excursions. Ethiopian Airlines also offer flights to Namibia for Russian tourists.
To make the flight more comfortable, passengers at Domodedovo can take advantage of modern services such as access to Horizon and Meridian international airline business lounges, the VIP lounge, porter and personal escort services, and chauffeur-driven parking.
