Fastest‑Growing Overseas Destinations from Domodedovo in Summer 2026
The fastest‑growing overseas destinations from Domodedovo from 01st June until 23rd of August were Nha Trang, Addis Ababa and Amman.
Nha Trang, Vietnam’s main resort, showed the highest growth in passenger traffic among overseas routes — more than 30 % compared to 2025. Red Wings aircraft fly here. The journey time is 10 hours. The route has been visa‑free for Russian citizens since August 2023.
The African route ranks second in terms of passenger traffic growth in the summer of 2026. Domodedovo is the only airport in the country from which flights to Addis Ababa are operated. This route was chosen by 25% more travelers compared to last year. The travel time to Addis Ababa is 8 hours 10 minutes. In July, Ethiopian Airlines expanded its flight routes from its base airport in Addis Ababa to Mauritius, Mozambique, and Oman, which opened up more opportunities for transit. Due to growing demand, the airline added a sixth frequency starting from July 1, 2026, on Wednesdays.
Jordan’s capital, Amman, took third place. This summer, Royal Jordanian Airlines carried 18 % more travelers than last year. The journey time is 5 hours and 15 minutes. The airline is the only carrier on this route. The route’s popularity grew thanks to the abolition of the visa requirement for Russian citizens in December 2025. The country offers tourists access to two resorts on the Red Sea and the Dead Sea, as well as tours to the ancient city of Petra – a masterpiece of world cultural heritage.
Domodedovo International Airport is one of the largest Russian airports in terms of the number of passengers and is constantly expanding its route map. On July 1, Ural Airlines launched a new flight to Sukhumi, the capital of the Republic of Abkhazia. On August 5, a new airline from Kyrgyzstan, SkyFru, began flights from Moscow to Bishkek.
