To Aqaba from Domodedovo
Jordanian national carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines plans to start flights to Aqaba from Domodedovo International Airport, flights will be operated twice a week on the A320neo aircraft. Ticket sales will begin in the near future.
In the summer navigation of 2026, the airline operates regular flights to Amman from Domodedovo Airport four times a week. Flights are in constant demand and the number of passengers on this route is increasing. Passenger traffic to Jordan from Domodedovo increased by 20% in the first four months of 2026. The numbers were given by Chief Commercial Officer of the airline Karim Makhlouf during a round table for Russian tour operators, which was dedicated to the cooperation of the airport and the airline.
Andrey Nikulin, General Director of Domodedovo, noted in his welcoming speech that Royal Jordanian remains the only carrier on the Russia–Jordan route, and the opening of the new flight will be particularly significant.
Karim Makhlouf spoke about new travel concepts to Jordan, which has been visa-free for Russians since December 2025. The country offers Russian tourists both beach (the resort of Aqaba on the Red Sea) and active holidays: a 670-km hiking trail across the country, Wadi Rum desert, 25 art galleries, trips to vineyards, and gastronomic tours. He emphasized that the country is a safe destination. Religious tourism is highly valued, as Jordan is famous for its pilgrimage sites for Christians.
